Who Will Be Served by the Site?
The 13-acre site is envisioned as a mix of public and private spaces dedicated to healing, learning, and community connection. We are currently working with insurance providers to determine the best structure for access. Initially, the space may operate as members-only because we already have an established membership. However, membership will be open to everyone, and we plan to offer a free option to ensure the space remains highly accessible.

The land will serve two primary purposes: spaces for healing and spaces for community.
The northern portion of the land will be a quieter, more private area for people seeking rest, personal growth, healing, and reconnection with nature. Visitors may come from across the region or around the world to stay and participate in retreats or personal healing experiences.

The southern portion of the land—slightly larger than the northern area—will focus on serving the local communities of Latir neighborhood, Questa, and Taos County. We envision community gathering areas, children’s spaces, and educational programs. This may include a homeschool cooperative, workshops, and classes focused on holistic health, land stewardship, and ecological restoration. Don’t forget celebrations! Dance, music and joy!

Beginning in Summer 2026, we will host a robust schedule of community land stewardship projects, inviting people to participate in activities such as tree planting, earthworks, and sagebrush clearing.

Irrigation Plan
We currently have four 275-gallon water tanks on the property that will be used to establish newly planted trees. These tanks can be refilled as needed. In the future, we plan to drill a well (we are currently building a well fund), but we do not intend to rely on the well for irrigation.

Instead, we will implement a water cycle restoration approach on the land, including earthworks and water bodies designed to slow, spread, and sink water into the soil. Over time, this will help regenerate the landscape and support aquifer recharge.

We recognize that this is an ambitious vision, but we wanted to provide a clear picture of our plans. Although we are located in a rural area, the project is intended to serve many people—from our immediate local communities to visitors from around the world.

We acknowledge this land, the water, the mountains, trees and all living beings on this land that has been walked and stewarded by the Tewa/Tiwa peoples and others along the way. We steward this piece of Gaia in reverence, respect with deep listening in our hearts.
